Bored indoors with the summers heat

Ok so with summer here and it actually feeling like summer, all I want to do is sit in front of a fan in a tank top and boxers with my kindle in hand, or lounging in the shade reading while my kids play in the pool. But alas as rent and bills need to be paid working sadly is a must do. Which really puts a damper on my reading and reviews. I need a vacation just to read lol, now writing haha that's a thing I want to do but don't seem to have enough hours in the day for. If only I could have my kindle or even paper and a pen...or even better I can email outside the company I'd get more accomplished. Haha probably not, my work gets pretty hectic. Maybe once we are moved and things settle i can actually make more time to sit down and write, but as it looks it might have to wait until school starts back up in August. Good things I've been keeping notes and ideas.

Currently I'm reviewing the book 'Marked' by A.N. Meade will hopefully be done with this book in a few days as I have 4 more behind this one. The ones I have left for June and the ones starting to come in for July, busy busy woman I've become. And honestly it's pretty fantastic.

#2 Deathly Night
L.E.Wilson

Luukas Kreek is a Master Vampire - one of the most powerful of his time. He has survived for over 600 hundred years, through wars, uprisings, and rivals who've attempted to take what is his. The first of his kind that dared to cross an ocean, he even started his own colony in a brand new world, increasing his strength with every new vampire he's created. Nothing can defeat him.

Until now...

Keira Moss has been secretly honing her magic her entire life in order to protect herself and her family from the corruption in their coven. Never would she have thought she could be forced to use her powers for anything other than the good of her family, until the one person she cares about most in the world is attacked and threatened.

One bound by chains and one bound by love, Luukas and Keira are forced into a nightmare, with no end in sight.

Survival is their choice. Love is their destiny.

My Rating & Review
Blood Vengeance
L.E. Wilson

I received this book from the author to read and enjoy, and in return give my honest opinion and review of it. Alright, so Blood Vengeance is book #2 of L.E. Wilson Paranormal Romance series, 'Deathless Night' series. This book is about Luukas and Keira. Now if you've read the first book 'Blood Hunger' you know exactly who Luukas and Keira are. If you haven't then you need to stop reading this review and pick up Blood Hunger and start reading.

Ok so this book takes place partially at the very same time Nik and Emma's story is taking place. It shows what goes on, so that it makes it more understandable on what happened to Luukas therefore answering my question in my last review about him. But now raises more questions such as: Did Aiden get turned into a demon vampire thing? Who is the cloaked man, he seems very intriguing. And what's to come of the others? So many questions and it keeps me wanting to read this series.

What I liked about this book, again like its predecessor, it was easy to read, easy to get lost in the story. And it is well written. I also like how so many things are still a mystery and in each book something new is revealed, making it so that each book has a piece of the puzzle to it.

Personally, for me the only thing I found wrong with this book was, it could've used maybe just a little more action. And though Kiera felt bad for her part in Luukas's torture, she was just a little to complacent with everything, I think she could've shown more spunk than the little bit we get to see in this book. Maybe in the future books though she'll be a side character we will see more spunk from her.

Otherwise this was a fantastic book a definite 4 stars from me, and I highly recommend reading this series as I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

19224571Once finished with Blood Vengeance then I'll be moving onto a 3 book review for the lovely Author A.N. Meade for her Marked series.

Marked

The Marked series follows a woman named Kate who transitions into a vampire, and discovers that there is so much more to her than she ever imagined. She changes her name to Aimee, which is how she is referred to throughout the rest of the series. It is a name that she re adopts, which belonged to her in a past life as a Celtic priestess. More and more is revealed as the books progress both about Aimee and about her place in the middle of all the paranormal political issues that are going on at the time. She is hunted by a demon named Damian, who claims her as his own. Book one focuses on Marc and how his love for Aimee brings her out of a deep despair. He helps her to find happiness again, and the second book is about her finding purpose. She is very driven in Book 2 to uncover more of the secrets of her past in an attempt to garner enough power to protect herself and her circle of friends, which includes Liam (a Guardian), Enric and Natasha (Human friends), Hex (a Warlock advisor), and Nero (the werewolf Alpha). The wolves aren't introduced until book 2 where we start to see how they fit into the conflict that is bringing the supernatural community to the brink of war.

Beauty and the Darkness
19224774
Beauty and the Darkness is the second book in the Marked Series. Aimee was left feeling vulnerable after Damian's attack on her at the end of book one. In this book Aimee throws herself full force into learning all she can of her abilities in an attempt to better protect herself from Damian's growing threat and protect her circle of friends. Damian's interest in her, however is much more than a personal one. He is not about to let her go riding off into the sunset with Marc. She is a vampire now, but there is so much more to the story, as she soon discovers.

Several new characters are introduced in this book including Aimee's friend and teacher, Hex, who is a warlock, and Nero, the werewolf Alpha.

Rise of the Blood Queen
25480749
Rise of the Blood Queen is the third book in the Marked Series. In this book, Aimee struggles to face the consequences of the tough choices she made in book 2. She has to push her personal boundaries and either grow or die. There’s an element of survival, but also the new task of building friendships and relationships from the ashes. We get to see more of Damian, Marc, Liam and Hex, as well as some new characters like Duncan. Duncan is an ancient warlock who lives in solitude in the forest. He has knowledge of the prophecies as well as the magic that Aimee is learning to wield.

Then after those are done, then muy final review for June will be Escape From Witchwood Hollow by Jordan Elizabeth Mierek.

23351890Escape from Witchwood Hollow

My Rating & Review
The Ruby Circle
Richelle Mead

Alright so just like with the VA books, I didn't want the story to end, so it did end up taking me a while to actually finished this book. It was definitely a good way to end the series though. There was a mystery, some action, a lot of inner monologue, Aunt Titiana was really driving me crazy. However, through all this what I loved best about this book, is that Sydney finally broke out of her shell fully, she actually became a little bad ass honestly. She got things done, and she made things change. Because of ecertain factors in the book that if I mention it in my review woulde spoil parts of the book and you know me and not wanting to spoil a good book for anyone, i'm gonna say this. With this book you're gonna laugh, you're gonna roll your eyes, you might cry, but most of all you will fall in love with this book, especially the epilogue.
