Changes are underway

Ok, I've been working on my blog's look and layout, and especially the template.  I've decided to go to a more unique approach. One that suits my style better than a pre-designed template. I'm simplistic in some manners where as I also like a little flair as well.  I hope that you will like these changes that are occurring. For as in time they will just keep getting better and better as I get through my schooling, since I will be learning stuff like building templates and such.

I start College again August 21st so I am trying to get everything major done before then so that all I have to do from then, is write reviews and minor things.

Thanks for being patient while I'm doing this =^.^= TOODLES

Thirst No. 3: The Eternal Dawn by Christopher Pike
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

this one was confusing at the beginning, because it never said on how she had become a vampire again, since the previous book killed her present self to live back in the past with her husband and daughter. So all that was slightly confusing. But in most of Mr. Pike's works I get confused on something somewhere. But this one, brought in a few new characters Teri and Matt... Teri is Sita's descendant, and Matt you find out further into the book is Yaksha's son. Which was kind of sentimental to me because I miss Yaksha and his love for Sita. It was slightly interesting I must say, especially with taking place 14 years after the last book. And Seymour he's different and Paula she's not as nice as she was in the previous books. Things were different, and now with this take on the Templars wanting to get rid of humankind. I am thinking of this as a fresh start the series, like it's the same series but at the same time different, it's hard to explain.

Thirst No. 2: Phantom, Evil Thirst, and Creatures of Forever by Christopher Pike
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ok there were plenty of parts during this one that had me confused at times. But still it intrigued me completely that it took all of my time or most of it when I had a free time to read. Sita, with her powers and gifts of love she's been given, I think is still selfish in some ways. Granted her whole life has been one huge adventure after another, and death after death. But she has also done good in her life. Met a whole line of wonderful friends along the way whether she has lost them or not. Her mark on the world was pretty huge for her to go back and erase everything. Oh well, guess will have to see what the next book holds.

Thirst No. 1: The Last Vampire, Black Blood, Red Dice by Christopher Pike
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After hearing so many reviews about how this book sucked, I'm was slightly surprised om how much I enjoy this book, it is 3 books in one: The last Vampire, Black Blood, and Red Dice. A 12 book series put in 4 books. OK so again I really enjoyed this book, I want to get the next book in the series, and will soon. I can't wait to read more of Sita and the hell she goes through constantly. This poor woman, you can't help to feel bad for her at times. Always stuck in a rut, and all because she loves to much, and especially loves her God too much (which is why she is always stuck in a rut), plus she is desperately trying to keep humankind from destroying itself as well. I love her flash backs of her life, I love the action, and I love the fact she loves things that explode lol.

Shadows (Lux 0.5) By Jennifer L. Armentrout

Read from July 19 to 20, 2012 Shadows (Lux, #0.5)Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I thought this was a pretty good short story for the series, unlike other people who have probably read the other books first, I read this one first then I'm going to continue on to the rest of the series. I'm pretty excited to delve into this series, and it totally reminds me of cocoon which ironically was mentioned in the book a few times. But all the same, it seems like it's going to be a pretty interesting adventure to take and now, I have many questions that I am seeking to be answered. See what happens when you read a short story prequel instead of starting like most people have lol.

Fair Game (Alpha & Omega 3)- I somehow missed this one on my HUGE update

Read from May 04 to June 28, 2012 Fair Game (Alpha & Omega #3)Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This one was ok, it wasn't the typical Charles and Anna book but I still enjoyed it. Where Charles was losing his grip on himself, Anna was becoming more secure in herself. But then they had found each other again and it was the greatest thing ever. it was like true love born again.

Hounded (Iron Druid Chronicles, #1)Hounded by Kevin Hearne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've been seeing this series around and about on Goodreads for a while now, so I thought I would give it a shot. Quite frankly I'm quite pleased that I did. It is a new intake on the paranormal world. I love the main character, I love it that it's a guy instead of the usual kick ass female (which of course I love). I also love the sub-characters such as Oberon, he's a totally kick ass dog, I loved him. I'm quite intrigued with Atticus's new apprentice and what's going to go on there. As for the Tuatha Dé Danann as usual they are a bunch of users that only do things that are in their favor, and the women they are pretty much horny broads lol. Which in itself is entertaining. Again I'm glad I read this and will be continuing on with this series.

Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2)Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

this book was just as great as the first one. It's long so it took me a few days to get it fully read, but I love how the entire basis of the book is set in 1590. They people you got to meet and the stories that were told and the things that were learned. Diana and Matthew totally could've stayed there the rest of her life and been content. But they couldn't and it was great to see them home, and I so can't wait for the last book, i'm so excited for it to read the conclusion to this epic story.

The Shifter (Healing Wars Series #1)The Shifter by Janice Hardy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was kind of similar to the Poison Study and Glass Study books written by Maria V. Snyder. But instead of people having different magics, these people only had Takers or Healers as some are called. They are able to take pain out of people and put it into a thing called pynvium. Nya though is special, she can take pain away just like her younger sister Talia, but she can't put the pain into the pynvium, she can transfer pain from one person to another. Neat little weapon if you piss her off right? Right! Well the pynvium slab at where Nya lives is full and who knows when the next shipment is supposed to be, this is where Nya meets a boy who I'm gonna call Don, he asks her to save his da, and to do that he asked her to "Shift" the pain to him and his younger twin brothers. She is reluctant cause this pain is not their pain and won't go away. But she does it, then she gets into the hands of a dealer of sorts someone who takes pain and sells pain amulets and stuff. Well he gets a hold of Nya and has her do a "shifting" again she is reluctant to do it because it's part of the people who had taken over her land. She does it of course, then her sister goes missing, so then she has to go find her and when she does she finds that all the apprentices of the League which is where Nya's sister Talia is going to become a healer and stuff, but the apprentices are all sick with pain because they have been filled up to much with it. She then sneaks back out and makes another deal with the dealer then Don's sister tells her the boys are dying, troubled now with saving her sister and Don and his brothers she goes back to the dealer and makes a deal with him. She saves Don and his brothers, and goes back to save her sister.... Meanwhile people are rioting because of being told all the apprentices are dead, and Nya, Don, and her friend Aly I'm gonna call her all make their way in with a help of one of the guards who is Aly's friend and, what not but before they wen too the league to rescue the apprentices mainly Nya's sister she finds out she can flash the pynvium, which is basically use them as weapons shifting the pain out of the stone or metal whatever it is. but not only that she can refill them.... so they go get into the league and back into the room where the apprentices are being held and starts healing them all while Nya attacks the door with the filled up pynvium. So that Talia can heal the rest of the apprentices... well after a attempted escape Nya is captured and once again meeting the dealer plus the Big man in charge of the league in their region, and she finds out they are thieving the pynvium, so she does something drastic and ends up killing them, thus saving the day, the apprentices, and the people she had shifted too.... then at the end had claimed war against the Duke, who is the man responsible for all their troubles in their region.

I liked this book, it was pretty creative and kept me interested, I'm going to continue on with this series and see how it turns out, cause so far I'm highly intrigued for sure.

I love Adrian, love, love, love him. And of course as well as the ever so sexy Dimitri. Sydney however she irritates me she's too uptight, I hope in the upcoming books she starts to relax and calm down a bit. Buut I am highly intrigued with the whole Adrian and Sydney love affair. As well as the secrets of the allchemist and the now new War over and with the Hunters.

This was a really good book, I stayed up the entire night reading it because I was so hooked. To go through life like Seth and Lydia went through it was amazing that either could actually trust anyone fully to fall in love. But they did and Seth semi-sorrt of got his family but still he got his happy ending. Also I'm very intrigued with making a woman come with the use of a tongue, whiskers, and a nipple?? Rawrs that was hot!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

this book wasn't as strong as the other two were in my opinion though I still loved it and it was awesome and made me want that kind of love for the rest of my life. But something was lacking from it, I think it might have been Christian's having to be reassured over and over, and Ana's jellified backbone. I don't know but this trilogy will be remembererd.

Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1)Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have never read a book like this. It was pretty intense from the start, the instant attraction between Grey and Ana. Then Grey's way of pursuing her, to the first date. Then they get closer and she starts staying with him and he brings her into his world. Quite creepy and scary at first but then you instead find it hot. But through all this Grey starts going against everything he believes in and all for Ana. You start to see his hard shaped demeanor crumble all for her, though he tries to maintain that persona. This book held a lot of erotic pleasure on things I wouldn't normally find erotic, or at least I wouldn't say out loud lol. Since most of us have our inner Dom or Sub or both. It was intense, it made me laugh, and after what she had asked of him to try to get him to open up to her more, failed. I cried, I cried through the rest of the book. I'm glad I have the other two books handy because after reading the ending of this book, I Have to move on there is no doubt about that. All in all this has been the best book I have ever read probably.

this might be my favorite book of the series... I loved how it was action packed like it was. I also liked the fact that it was kind of a break from Galen and all that though there were still hunters just not as much as in the other books. Strider & Kaia weere awesome the feelings they had for each other but with Striders demon him being afraid to be with her, was just classic. Then coming to terms with it and falling in love with her was epic.

This book took me a while to read, and it wasn't really that it was the book itself, more that I had gotten into a hard patch in my life at the time I started to read this book. Though while I still loved the book, it wasn't one of my fav's I think the best part was the last few chapters. It just didn't seem like the typical Alexia book. Well still though I can't to read the next one.

On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.

Divergent by Veronica Roth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book caught my attention from the very beginning. it was easy to readclear and concise on what the author wanted you to see in this world. of course with it being a post apocalyptic time era you pictured the whole buildings falling and crumbling, the land has a dysty feel to it. and the way she has it with The? factions reminded me of hunger games though no games are involved, just sixteen year Olds taking a test and choosing and. choosing a faction. they want to be a part of for the rest of their lives. and of course you have that personwho wants more power for whatever reason. and then a small battle, but it was an awesome read and I will recommend this to anyone who likes hunger games and to everyone else as well.
