****SYNOPSIS****
Michelle, another young woman with an unexplainable gift, finds herself surrounded by the previously undiscovered werewolf society. Kept prisoner for the predictions that torment her, she meekly follows orders waiting for her opportunity to run. When her stepfather dies, she takes a chance and escapes.

After witnessing Blake, her captor, grow canines, she knows he will do anything to find her. She needs a place to hide and someone to listen to her predictions so her head doesn’t explode, but knows there’s nowhere she can hide forever, and no one who can protect her… unless she can find someone just like him.

Part of the fur wearing faction wants to use her, another part strives to keep her safe. The second book of the Judgement of the Six series will raise more questions about the purpose of these gifted few and Michelle will need to fight for answers. Will what she discovers be enough to help her keep those she loves safe from an emerging evil?

*****MY REVIEW*****
This series is just starting out, and I still want more, more, more. I've never read a werewolf book or series quite like this. It held onto my attention from the minute I read the first words. Only putting it down because I had passed out from exhaustion(LOL). However I picked it back up immediately once I woke and took the day off from everything else just to kick back and read this book. Now that I have finished it, and loved it just as I had the first book, I am left wanting more, and even though the next book is being released this fall, I still think it's too long of a wait, I want more!

Changed a few things

I've changed a few things on the blog, to hopefully make it easier to read, with it being a dark background I have to watch what font and colors I use. I just hope that these changes are more appeasing to the eye.

Follow & Feature Friday

It's that time again! It's Feature and Follow Friday Host by

Q: What is your preferred reading format? Hardcover, eBooks, paperback etc?
*** Anymore I would prefer eBooks, cause it's easier to store my books, and it's easier on my hands, also I can read in bed and not have to worry about falling asleep with the lights on. Next is paper back or trademark paperback, again it's easier on my hands. Then Hardcover they just keep every book looking crisp and clean.

***SYNOPSIS***

Our world is being judged and we remain unaware.

In a world filled with people, Gabby is uniquely alone. The tiny glowing sparks filling her mind that represent the people around her, confirm it as does the bizarre inexplicable draw she has on men.

Struggling to find an explanation for her sight while dodging unwanted male attention, Gabby meets Sam. The chance encounter leads to a startling revelation - werewolves are real.

Hoping the existence of something so extraordinary might lead to the answers she is seeking, Gabby enters into a hidden society where fur is optional. There she meets Clay, the werewolf delusional enough to think he has a chance with her. Gabby's plans for her future do not include a mate, but rather college, career, and then a huge 'we'll see'.

Gabby leaves the furry hidden society behind when she moves off to college, but trouble has a way of following and finding her. When other werewolves start stalking her, and anomalies in the sparks she sees begin to appear, she must count on Clay's help or risk loosing the chance to find the answers she searches for.

****MY REVIEW****
I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Hope(less) is a story about a girl named Gabby, she can see colors around people, that isn't an aura. One day walking home from her volunteering at the hospital she noticed a different color on some guy she saw by the water. Much to her surprise he ended up being a werewolf named Sam.

After getting to know Sam, she learned a lot about werewolves, and ended up moving in with him as her foster parents were expecting a child of their own.

Once she turned 18 Sam wanted her to go and be introduced to all the unmated males in his pack. While she didn't agree with it, she went, because she was hell bent on not letting other determine her life for her and she had goals of going to college and making a career for herself.

Well during the last Introduction she met with a massive amount of wolves, and none sparked nothing in her, until she was walking back into the house and the seclusive and quiet Clay was standing there. Boy did this urk Gabby off, this was not supposed to happen. So her aggressive and stubborn nature confronted this tall dark and silent man, and said somethings she shouldn't have, did it seal her fate though?

Gabby gets to her new house and meets her new roommate Rachel, just barely gets settled in when a strange dog comes almost literally knocking on her door, ok,ok,ok he sat down on the towel next to Rachel in the backyard when they were going to sunbathe together. But after a few minutes the bells clicked and she realized her words had come back to bite her in the butt, because the giant dog was Clay in his wolf form.

Throughout this book Gabby learns to communicate with Clay because he refuses to talk, and she learns to trust him, and she in a way learns to love him. However, there's a new color she's seeing with some wolves, it's bugging her not having the answers she needed, meanwhile Clay keeps getting challenged by other unmated wolves. One night Two of the "other" wolves had came to her house and tried to take her, and attack Clay, well one of them so happens to have the same connection to her as Clay does. This confuses the hell out of her.

Will this be the end of everything Clay has worked for in getting Gabby To claim him? Will Gabby claim him even though there is another potential mate for her? What is going on with the "other" wolves?

This story enthralled me to no end. The writing was superb, the story in itself was extremely creative and original. I give Melissa Haag 5++ stars for this book. I just hope we'll get to see more of Gabby & Clay in future books, and now I'm dying to get my hands on the next book.

*~REVIEW~* THE MACKENZIE LEGACY

The Mackenzie Legacy (The Athena Effect, #2)THE MACKENZIE LEGACY
By: Derrolyn Anderson
Series: The Athena Effect #2
Genre: Young Adult
Publication: April 4th 2013 by Derrolyn Anderson (first published January 1st 2012)

*~SYNOPSIS~*
As their story continues, Calvin and Caledonia find themselves madly in love, on the run, and nearly out of money. When Cal stumbles upon a way to cash in on Cali’s powers, their life on the road becomes a life of leisure. Despite the easy money and newfound luxury, Caledonia’s conscience begins to trouble her.

A disturbing warning only serves to confirm her misgivings, making her question her purpose in life. Finally, a shocking discovery about the true nature of her powers points the way forward, sending the two Cals on a dangerous rescue mission.

Caledonia tries her best to right the wrongs of the past, but will she only end up provoking new and even more dangerous enemies?

*~MY REVIEW~*
This book didn't wow me like the first one did. I still liked it however, I love the story build up Ms. Anderson creates, and the character's are fantastic.

Caledonia is a very strong character, she's brave while also being naive in a lot of things still. Her love for Calvin is fantastic, though there tended to be a time or two that it was a little sugar coated for my taste, but it didn't deter me from anything in the book, so it's relatively a minor thing that I just shrugged off and kept on going.

I do enjoy the encounters with Calvin's older brother Jared that always seems to be when the good parts really start to come in.

I'm definitely intrigued to see what happens in the next book, especially with the way this book had ended, it basically made me shudder at the grotesqueness of it, but at the same shudder with anticipation for the next book.

A CASTLE OF SAND
By: Bella Forest
Series: A Shade of Vampire #3
Genre: Young Adult
Publication: June 26th 2013
Average Rating: 4.55

*~SYNOPSIS~*
What Sofia has with Derek feels like a sandcastle; temporary and something that the waves of life and time will soon ruin...

Since the return of Gregor Novak, the island has turned several shades darker. His hatred toward Sofia and thirst for fresh blood lead to a brutal war igniting between father and son.

Meanwhile, the hunters are gaining formidable strength and resources by the day; they know that the safety of The Shade hangs entirely on its ability to remain hidden from them.

And a sinister secret lies in wait for Sofia within the bowls of an Egyptian desert ... a secret that threatens to crush her sandcastle much sooner than she could have expected.

*~MY REVIEW~*
Ugh! This book was just released, so now I have to wait forever to get my greedy hands on the next book.

A Castle of Sand, is a little more intense emotionally than the other two books, you can tell it's just going to get darker from here on out in Sophia and Derek's adventures. It already has. This book, has many mixed emotions, and a lot of guilt and sorrow, mixed in with some pride, and most definitely lots of love.

Sophia (human) and Derek (Vampire, also prince of the Shade), couldn't be anymore in love than they are. Except with having Derek's father home, puts a cramp in their relationship, responsibilities that must be met, and inner turmoil on the fact that Sophia is mortal while, Derek is immortal. Sophia during a lot of this book refers to the sandcastle statement Ben made, but with different variations.

Sophia grows stronger in this book, and Derek due to his love for Sophia keeps a grand hold on his humanity and surprises you every step of the way. Sophia was getting a little whiny at some points that I had to just roll my eyes.

But other than the minor irritants I'm still lovin this series, and Bella Forest is still rocking the smooth material out. UGH! How long before the next one is released? lol

*~REVIEW~* A SHADE OF BLOOD

Genre: Young Adult
Publication: April 8th 2013 by www.bellaforrest.net

*~SYNOPSIS~*
In A Shade Of Blood, Bella Forrest transports you deeper into a unique, enthralling and beautifully sensitive story.
Prepare to be lost in its pages…

Now, after months of surviving an endless night, the morning sun may soon rise again for Sofia. Something has possessed Derek’s heart and he offers her a gift no human slave has ever been given in the history of his cursed island: escape.

High school, prom and a chance to move on with her life now await her.

But will she be able to forget the horrors that steal her sleep away at night? … and the feelings that haunt her for that tormented prince of darkness?

*~MY REVIEW~*

Ever have those books that when you finish one, you want to immediately read the next one because you are so involved in the series? Well this book and series fits that Bill. The writing is phenomenal, the story is just awesome itself. The mixture out modern day atmosphere, with a scene like what you saw in the old 90`s film "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" with the living up in the trees. Very vivid world Bella Forest has created for us.

In "A Shade of Vampire" we were left with Sophia and Derek kissing as he was helping her and her best friend Ben escape. In "A Shade of Blood" we're still in that same scene, but Sophia is debating on whether she really wants to leave the Shade and Derek, or to escape with Ben and go back to her old life.

BACK at home Sophia and Ben try to go back to being normal, however can they ever be normal now, after the things Claudia did to Ben, and the unrepentant feelings Sophia still has for Derek.

back at the Shade Derek is turning more dark everyday since Sophia left, and he's letting the darkness consume him despite the warnings if his twin sister Vivienne kept telling him.

This book is filled with twists and turns at every corner, and a shockingly surprising ending. I would put more into this review about what happens in the book but I don't want to spoil any of the goodies inside, so if you are dying to know what happens next, then you need to pick up A Shade of Blood and sink your teeth into this deliciously entrancing story.

*~SYNOPSIS~*
On the evening of Sofia Claremont's seventeenth birthday, she is sucked into a nightmare from which she cannot wake.

A quiet evening walk along a beach brings her face to face with a dangerous pale creature that craves much more than her blood.

She is kidnapped to an island where the sun is eternally forbidden to shine.
An island uncharted by any map and ruled by the most powerful vampire coven on the planet. She wakes here as a slave, a captive in chains.

Sofia's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn when she is the one selected out of hundreds of girls to join the harem of Derek Novak, the dark royal Prince.

Despite his addiction to power and obsessive thirst for her blood, Sofia soon realizes that the safest place on the island is within his quarters, and she must do all within her power to win him over if she is to survive even one more night.

Will she succeed? ...or is she destined to the same fate that all other girls have met at the hands of the Novaks?

*~MY REVIEW~*
I was given this book by the author, for an honest review.

I'm a huge fan of indie authors as they keep bringing fresh a new books, most of which I fall in love with.

A shade of vampire brings us to the beach where Sophie is beating herself up over her best friend Ben, and the feelings she has for him. While walking along the beach in the middle of the night she comes across a stranger who is extremely handsome as well as dangerous.

Next thing Sophie realizes is that she's being drugged and blacks out only to come to a room, that so much resembles a dungeon.

While she's in this room that same stranger comes in and very much wants his way with her but fortunately Lucas, her kidnapper, sister walks in and saves her life. Only does she realize that she's not being saved out of the kindness of the other vampires heart, but in fact that Sophie is to be a part of her (Vivienne) twin brother Dereks harem.

At finally meeting Derek who has been asleep for a very long time, he ends up attacking her, but doesn't instead her takes her into his interest and treats her quite special.

So in this book you slight twists and turns, a potential love blooming, and jealousy, hatred, and the unknown, and hunters who are after to destroy the entire vampire race. This book definitely sunk its fangs into me. I just can't wait to get hold of the next book, cause I'm dying to find out what happens next.

*~REVIEW~* MEDUSA'S DESIRE

Medusa's Desire (Fate of Eros #1)MEDUSA'S DESIRE
By: E.B. Black
Series: Fate of Eros #1
Genre: Fantasy
Publication: November 22, 2012 Self Published
Average Rating: 3.58

*~SYNOPSIS~*

** The Fate of Eros Series: Book 1 * Exploring the Dark Side of Love **

When Medusa was beautiful, finding a man to love her was easy. Poseidon fought for glances from her heavy-lidded eyes against suitors who proposed whenever she left her house. Even goddesses weren't treated with such worship.

Athena grew jealous. She allowed Medusa to be violated in the Parthenon and turned her into a monster for her indiscretion.

Now when Medusa stares into the eyes of men, they scream as their skin hardens into stone. A caress against her cheek will be rewarded with the poisonous bites of the snakes that slither on her head.

No man is brave enough to approach her, until Perseus is ordered by the gods to kill her.

When they meet, desire sizzles between them. They are willing to risk it all-death, the wrath of the gods, the destruction of their families-if it means they can spend one more night together.

*~MY REVIEW~*
Medusa's Desire is about Medusa, how she started off as a beautiful, young, and pure woman, trying to make a living to support her family, as her father gambled everything they had away. Things were going okay, up until a vicious rumor started, and Medusa was thrown out of her home. Staying one night secretly at Athena's temple, Medusa had something horrible happen to her, and in turn was accused by Athena herself for doing wrong in her temple, and cursed Medusa into a gorgon.

Many years passed, as Medusa lived in Hades lord of the underworlds domain. Up until Perseus shows up on a quest from the Gods to kill her. Instead of killing her, he falls for her. Rescues her from Hades Realm, and from there the embark on an adventure of their own, on a conquest to fight the Gods. On their travels they come across Andromeda, chained up on a cliff, as a sacrifice from her people.

They rescue Andromeda, and from their the adventure takes all sorts of twists and turns. Going from romantic warm moments, to a lot insecure moments from all parties.

I'm not sure how I really feel about this book, it was really good at the beginning, then about half way through I got a little bored, then near the end I was sad, very sad. I liked it enough to give it a 3-3.5 but I'm not fully sure on whether I will continue on with the series or not, it's something I will have to ponder on for a bit.

*~Synopsis~*
Cass Carmichael has lost everything; her husband, her son, and her will to live.

When natural disasters destroy the earth she is rescued by extra-terrestrials and taken to a new world where the human race can rebuild. But something is wrong here. Survivors are vanishing without a trace.

Can Cass unravel the riddle in time to save herself?

*~My Review~*
I was given a copy of this book, in return for an honest review.

HOLY TOLEDO BATMAN!

Lifeboat is a book where a 1000 people were rescued, by aliens, because Earth has been destroyed by the ultimate natural disasters, and I mean in the epic proportions too. Cass, a lonley woman who had lost what meant most to her in her life, had become obsessed with UFO's after seeing one, a few years after the death of her husband and son. She had eventually came to meet up with two UFOlogists by the names of Rhys and Graham. One night while out waiting to see if they would encounter a UFO, Cass & Rhys were taken by aliens, and put on a ship called "Lifeboat". Here they were prepared with the 998 other people who were "saved" to live life on new earth, (earth 500 years later).

Things are just too fabulous when they all first arrive, until Cass and Seamus another survivor set out to make trades at other villages that were set up on the land. Things are awry and Cass and the others try to figure out what's going on, but as they continue to search for answers more and more people mysteriously disappear.

This book is not what I expected at all. At first it was slightly confusing with all the flip flopping around, then it really gets into the whole of the story, and wow it's amazing. With an ending you'd never expected. I must say I was just a little hesitant on reading this, since it's not my usual read, but I'm glad I was contacted, and I'm glad I read it.
