New Title for Book in Progress and Possible Book Cover????

if any of you have gone onto the other pages of my blogs, and have come across my current work in progress my first ever book I am writing, you would have seen that it had a working title of Deadly Evil. Well after much consideration and having it just stare at me for weeks because I haven't touched my book at all, the name got....well.... quite annoying to me and I felt it doesn't really fit the book I am writing. So I have changed it to "Something Wicked" and Yes I have seen this phrase used in plenty of books, but usually I have seen in it in something in regards to the old saying "Something Wicked this way comes" which yes mine is also based off of it. I'm not fully sure it will stick, but for now it seems to fit. I hope you like it and the Bookcover or well possible bookcover.  Not really too worried on that at the moment since I've only started writing chapter 8.

REVIEW: Iced (Fever #6)

Iced (Dani O'Malley, #1)ICED
Fever #6, Dani O'Malley Trilogy #1
~Karen Marie Moning~
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Published: October 30th 2012 by Delacorte Press
Average Rating: 4.21

SYNOPSIS:
The year is 1 AWC—After the Wall Crash. The Fae are free and hunting us. It’s a war zone out there, and no two days are alike. I’m Dani O’Malley, the chaos-filled streets of Dublin are my home, and there’s no place I’d rather be.

Dani “Mega” O’Malley plays by her own set of rules—and in a world overrun by Dark Fae, her biggest rule is: Do what it takes to survive. Possessing rare talents and the all-powerful Sword of Light, Dani is more than equipped for the task. In fact, she’s one of the rare humans who can defend themselves against the Unseelie. But now, amid the pandemonium, her greatest gifts have turned into serious liabilities.

Dani’s ex–best friend, MacKayla Lane, wants her dead, the terrifying Unseelie princes have put a price on her head, and Inspector Jayne, the head of the police force, is after her sword and will stop at nothing to get it. What’s more, people are being mysteriously frozen to death all over the city, encased on the spot in sub-zero, icy tableaux.

When Dublin’s most seductive nightclub gets blanketed in hoarfrost, Dani finds herself at the mercy of Ryodan, the club’s ruthless, immortal owner. He needs her quick wit and exceptional skill to figure out what’s freezing Fae and humans dead in their tracks—and Ryodan will do anything to ensure her compliance.

Dodging bullets, fangs, and fists, Dani must strike treacherous bargains and make desperate alliances to save her beloved Dublin—before everything and everyone in it gets iced.

MY REVIEW:
I must say this wasn't my favorite of any of KMMs books. I didn't like how it bounced from character to character without really saying who was speaking. I must also say what is the deal with Ryodan and Jo, so not liking that match up, maybe it's because I have this grotesque thought and feeling the one he is meant for is Dani, gross right since she's like a baby still. But still that's the notion I get and well I'm sticking to it. Now what is up with Christian's hard on (pun intended) over Dani??? Furthermore while I feel that this isn't one of KMMs books, I'm highly anticipating reading the next book in the trilogy.

Alexandra Willan is in a panic. Her restaurant is due to open in two weeks, but her chef just walked out. Then a highly recommended replacement arrives, an impossibly handsome culinary genius who sends electric tingles racing through her body . . .

Except he can't cook. In fact, Cale hasn't eaten real food in two thousand years. Yet he's determined to prove to Alex his prowess in the kitchen . . . and elsewhere. Because never has he hungered so for any mortal woman. And not just for a taste of her, but for the whole delicious feast!

MY REVIEW:
This wasn't my most favorite of the series. There wasn't that flare that I enjoy in Ms. Sands books. It was basically a girl playing hard to get for a little bit then BAM porn central, and a little bit of intrigue on who was sabotaging her, and attacking her. Yeah it just wasn't my fav of the series is all.

REVIEW: That Old Black Magic (Living in Eden #3)

That Old Black Magic (Living In Eden, #3)That Old Black Magic
Living in Eden #3
~Michelle Rowen~
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Published: December 6th 2011 by Berkley
Average Rating: 4.05

SYNOPSIS:
Reluctant witch Eden Riley knows that codependent relationships aren't good, especially when you're possessed by a sexy but troublemaking demon. Darrak's physical form makes good girl Eden want to go bad, but the constant itch to use the soul-destroying black magic she's recently acquired might force Eden to explore her dark side in an entirely different way.

And when her magic starts manifesting itself without conscious effort, both Eden's life and the possibility of a future with Darrak are threatened-since only one of them might be able to survive this...

MY REVIEW:
A great conclusion to a great trilogy, though I am quite sad that it only lasted three books, but that's okay because it fit just right. In this one Darrak and Eden have to come to terms with how they truly feel for each other, because if they don't it just might cost them their lives.

It's always sad to see a great story end, especially when you get so involved in the story and the characters themselves, it's just so bittersweet to turn that last page knowing that you've just completed the series. Oh well there are more series from Michelle Rowen that I am anticipating reading.

SYNOPSIS:
Every woman has a sexy demon inside her just waiting to get out, but for Eden Riley it's a little different. Her inner demon is named Darrak, and he's been inhabiting bodies for the past three hundred years. In the daytime, thanks to her special psychic energy, he's able to take physical shape—a shape she wouldn't mind getting her hands on, it it wasn't a threat to her immortal soul...

Because of her possession, Eden now has uncontrollable black magic at her fingertips, and she and Darrak are trying to end the curse that binds them before the situation gets any worse. To do it, they'll have to get tangled up with some unsavory characters from the underworld. When sparks and spells fly, they could get the distance they need...or each will have their own private hell to pay.

MY REVIEW:
Eden and Darrak still bound together, are quite hoping to find another way to break Darrak's curse so that they can go on their merry ways. But they struggle with string effections for each other, the fact that Eden has changed, and that Darrak is changing himself. But they have more to worry about than what's changing in their lives. Because now Lucifer himself has taken an interest in Eden, but for what?

SYNOPSIS:
Hell hath no fury like a woman possessed...

After her hunky police detective partner guns down a serial killer in front of her, "psychic consultant" Eden Riley realizes that she's no longer alone. A voice in her head introduces himself as Darrak. He's a demon. But not in a bad way. He was cursed 300 years ago and he wants to find a way to break free. Eden's psychic energy helps him take form during daylight, and she's going to have to learn to live with this sexy demon...like it or not.

MY REVIEW:
An interesting new take on the world of Demons. The moment I picked up this book, I couldn't put it down, it just possessed me (haha pun intended)and I had to finished the book. This is my first time reading this author, and I'm quite glad I did, I now have a new author I love. Eden is a mild psychic and she end up helping the police on a case, she didn't realize that this particular case was going to change her life forever. Darrak a demon bound to possess human hosts from a curse put on him by a black witch. After Ben the pretty boy cop shoots a serial killer, Eden and Darrak are unwillingly bound together. They go through a wild adventure and a sensual ride, as they try to figure out how to get Darrak out of Eden's body, before it ends up killing her.

The writing was great and really easy to follow, the storyline was superb, and it definitely left me wanting more.

REVIEW: Dark Prince (Carpathians #1)

Carpathians #1
~Christine Feehan~
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Published: April 5th 2005 by Leisure Books
Average Rating: 3.98

SYNOPSIS:
Prince of the Night.

He came to her in the night, a predator -- strength and power chiseled his features. The seduction was deep and elemental; he affected her soul. His need. His darkness. His terrible haunting loneliness. Her senses aroused, she craved the dangerous force of his body. Burned for him. And he had only touched her with his mind.

Lady of the Light

She came to him at dawn, his bleakest hour. As the beast raged inside him, threatening to consume him, he vented his centuries-old despair in an anguished cry that filled the waning night. And she answered, a ray of light, piercing his darkness. A beautiful angel. Her compassion, courage, and innocence awakened in him an exquisite longing and tenderness. He knew he must possess her, for only she could tame his savage side and lift the dark shadow from his soul. Apart they were desolate, bereft. Intertwined physically and spiritually, they could heal one another and experience an eternity of nights filled with love.

MY REVIEW:
I first tried reading this and after a chapter or two I had to put it down, I just wasn't feeling this kind of book at the time. But I had picked it up again, to give it a second chance and I'm glad I did, because it was quite a story. It was full of action, sex, and some sarcastic humor. I've heard this series is quite repetitious but that's ok, cause I can't read too many series books back to back. Especially not long series like this one. I also liked the short story Dark Descent although it had me a little confused about Gregori and being the lifemate of their princes daughter. Is she already born? How far after Dark Prince is Dark Descent is placed. Those are things that bugs me about books, they leave you with unanswered questions.

Even though she’s spent years disavowing the supernatural, Pete follows Jack into the invisible fey underworld, where she hopes to discover the truth about what happened to Bridget—and what happened to Jack on that dark day so long ago…

MY REVIEW:
ok for a first book in an urban fantasy series this was pretty good. It gave you the details needed to set up the series, but didn't bombard you with back story details. And it was a "light" story, I mean as I was picturing things in this story I could picture it all being all dark and drab, making the story itself pop out more. I read a piece of the next book and I must say I can't wait to read it.

Published: March 27th 2007 by Avon
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Average Rating: 4.18

SYNOPSIS:
One look at her was enough to stop his heart...

If it was still beating. Angus MacKay has been undead for almost five hundred years, and it's not often something, or someone, surprises him. Until Emma Wallace. The sight of this luscious agent from the CIA's elite Stake-Out team was enough to stop Angus in his tracks. But then he discovers that she's a vampire slayer, intent on killing the "monsters" who killed her parents. And it's Angus' job to stop her.

The only good vampire is a dead vampire. It's been Emma's motto since she committed her life to the destruction of these things. Now Angus MacKay wants to convince her differently. Sure, he's a sexy Highland warrior who seems to have stepped off the cover of a romance novel, complete with brogue, kilt, and sword, but he's also one of them. And it's her job to kill him.

The war is on, but will it end in the destruction of one or both of them...or in total surrender to a passion for the ages?

MY REVIEW:
This was the best I've read so far in this series... ok granted this is the third book in the series but still, I wasn't too hopeful on the rest of this series. I mean the first book was alright, but wasn't the best, and the second one was a little boring but I kept on trucking and finished it, and yet I decided to give this series one more chance. I'm glad I did because I really liked Angus and Emma's story. It was really passionate and heartwarming.
