Deity (Covenant, #3)DEITY
BY: Jennifer L. Armentrout
SERIES: Covenant #3
GENRE: Young Adult
PUBLICATION: November 6th 2012 by Spencer Hill Press (first published October 31st 2012)
AVERAGE RATING: 4.55

SYNOPSIS
"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time."
Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

MY REVIEW
I'm pretty sure I mentioned that Seth was going to turn nefarious in future books, boy was I dead on, on that one. What a crazy ride this book takes you through. It's like the turning point on the series, what it at first was pretty friendly and fun loving, except for the few daimon attacks and what not. But this book was just OMG WOW!!!!!

REVIEW: PURE ~BY~ JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

PURE
Pure (Covenant, #2)
BY: Jennifer L. Armentrout
SERIES: Covenant #2
GENRE: Young Adult
PUBLICATION: April 3rd 2012 by Spencer Hill Press
AVERAGE RATING: 4.42

SYNOPSIS
There is need. And then there is Fate.
Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon--and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude--or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

MY REVIEW
You know its hardfor me to not like Seth especially after reading his point of view. But something just doesn't feel right with him, I have a feeling he's going become nefarious In future books. Aiden well I like him, but I think he's been a big pussy, up until the end of the book when the battle scene ended. I also am unclear on Lucians motives as well. Marcus I have a feeling he's against Alex.

now onto the next book.

REVIEW: HALF BLOOD ~BY~ JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT

Half-Blood (Covenant, #1)HALF BLOOD
BY: Jennifer L. Armentrout
SERIES: Covenant #1
GENRE: Young Adult
PUBLICATION: October 18th 2011 by Spencer Hill Press
AVERAGE RATING:  4.23

SYNOPSIS
The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi pure bloods have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals--well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures. Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden. Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

MY REVIEW
Holy effing WOWSERS! I knew the Jennifer L. Armentrout had blown me away before with her Lux series, but wow she has done it again with this series as well. This woman knows how to create a world, with fantastic characters, and amazing plot line, and hope beyond hope of things as well. However parts of it seemed almost to some point that I was reading Vampire Academy again, with the Trainer falling for the trainee and vice versa, the whole trainer goes out to seek the trainee, and an unbreakble bond formed right at the beginning. But you know what!? I don't care because I loved it in those books, and I'm loving it again in this one. Jennifer L. Armentrout has officially been made one of my most favorite authors.

REVIEW: HAMMERED ~BY~ KEVIN HEARNE

Hammered (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #3)HAMMERED
BY: Kevin Hearne
SERIES: Iron Druid # 3
GENRE: Urban Fantasy
PUBLICATION: July 5th 2011 by Random House Publishing Group
AVERAGE RATING: 4.19

SYNOPSIS
Thor, the Norse god of thunder, is worse than a blowhard and a bully—he’s ruined countless lives and killed scores of innocents. After centuries, Viking vampire Leif Helgarson is ready to get his vengeance, and he’s asked his friend Atticus O’Sullivan, the last of the Druids, to help take down this Norse nightmare.

One survival strategy has worked for Atticus for more than two thousand years: stay away from the guy with the lightning bolts. But things are heating up in Atticus’s home base of Tempe, Arizona. There’s a vampire turf war brewing, and Russian demon hunters who call themselves the Hammers of God are running rampant. Despite multiple warnings and portents of dire consequences, Atticus and Leif journey to the Norse plain of Asgard, where they team up with a werewolf, a sorcerer, and an army of frost giants for an epic showdown against vicious Valkyries, angry gods, and the hammer-wielding Thunder Thug himself.

MY REVIEW
This book was pretty ho hum compared to the others I have read so far, granted this is like the 3rd book in the series. But most of it was slightly dull, and I didn't really need to know every little detail Atticus was making in his move. But once the quest started things really started picking up and once again I was glued, to the very end. Even stayed up late when I should have been sleeping because I had to wake up early in the morning, but no I was determined to finish once I got engrossed.

Kevin Hearne's world is pretty spectacular. His use of every god pretty much known to man, is and epic use of creativeness. And Jesus in this book, was quite comical I thought. Thor, with loving Thor in the Marvel Movies, it was a little hard to depict him as an epic douche, but I managed it.

I'm pretty stoked in finding out what happened to the Widow, and to find out what happens now that Atticus and his crew, from what it is sounding like has started the mega end, should be very interesting.

So she's taken a job as a bodyguard for the Undead, but she gets more than she bargained for, especially when she meets Ian MacPhie, a Scottish rascal looking for Ms. Right.

Although Ian's nearly five centuries old, he looks and acts like a twenty-seven-year-old hunk.

How can a dead man be so damn sexy? Could Mr. Wrong be Mr. Right? One forbidden kiss could lead to an eternity of passion—and all it takes is one moment under the mistletoe . . .

MY REVIEW
This is by far my favorite of the series, I just Love Ian, i'm so glad he got his HEA! Toni's friend Sabrina, gosh I wanted to smack her quite a few times, I hope she grows out of her animosity. Carlos I knew, just knew something was different about him.

This series is turning out to be really good, I think I've enjoyed all but the second book of this series. I cannot wait to read more of it. It's becoming highly addictive to me.

BY: Kerrelyn Sparks
SERIES: Love at Stake #4
GENRE: Paranormal Romance
PUBLICATION: January 29th By Avon Books
AVERAGE RATING: 4.19

SYNOPSIS
Three signs that something is very different with your mew man:

1. He sleeps all day...which would be annoying except he's so attentive at night.

2. He's attacked by sword-wielding assailants, yet insists he can handle it on his own.

3. He never seems to age.

Heather Westfield has always lived a quiet life, but that all changes when she helps a very handsome, very mysterious stranger. There's something not quite right about Jean-Luc, but still, she's never been with a man so charming, so attractive...so wonderful. Now if only a murderous villain wasn't after them, they might get their happily-ever-after.

MY REVIEW
Alright, so when I first started reading this series, I was more than a little iffy on it. However, the more I read it the more I'm loving it. This book "The Undead Next Door" is so far my favorite in the series. I love the different take on vampires, and I love the use of science in it as well. Kerrelyn Sparks, is an imaginative, creative, spectacular writer. If the rest of this series keeps getting better, she will become another one of my favorite authors.

AVERAGE RATING: 3.77

SYNOPSIS

A cabal of necromancers are using ancient, unspeakable magic to turn the tide of war in their favor. Then, as the city is about to sink into chaos, Pete receives a chilling directive: To end the war, you must kill the crow-mage. Beset from all sides, Pete finds herself turning to an unholy source for help…even if doing so could destroy Black London—and life as she knew it—once and for all.

MY REVIEW
I keep on reading this series, and well it's really starting to get good. The apocolypse, the black creeping more and more into London. This world that has been created is magical (excuse the pun), it's original, and very creative. And an ending that will blow your mind. I was like WHAT!?!?!? What I don't like about these books, is Pete's attitude, her I'm a barney bad ass gets a lil old after a bit, but that doesn't deter me from the story oh no, I just roll my eyes at that, and yeah sometimes laugh cause come on, it's funny, and keep on reading.

Ms. Kittredge is a genious with the world she has created, this is a series I haven't ever came across before, the mix between fae, necromancers, mages, and the like is impressive, and keeps me wanting to read more. Which I will be because I'm dying to know what adventure and mayhem Pete and Jack will have next.

MY REVIEW
I fricking love Nick, I love his smart assed self, his noble heart, and the way he looks at life. His mother god bless her heart, really pissed me off in this book. And I don't blame Nick for going off on her like he had in this book. Ash and Kyrian still fabulous!!! You get to learn a little more on Bubba, which is really cool to read. Kody still wondering what her game is, Caleb I'm really starting to like him, hehe ok ok I've always liked him, but in this book I like him even more. Grim, eh he's pretty funny.

Ms. Kenyon never fails in her books, they are all awesome, and always I am wanting more. She is one of my favorite authors, and I will always say "Hey you read this by her...." when books come up in a conversation. Love you Sherrilyn Kenyon, I love your books, your worlds, and your characters. YOU ROCK!

MY REVIEW
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.

I tried reading this book, and I really wanted to get into it. I really did. The writing is excellent and the storyline is well created. All in all this book was a good book. However, it just didn't catch my attention. I'm not exactly sure what is was, maybe it's just not something I'm into.

So with that being said, I don't want anyone to base my review on whether they should read this book or not. This book has gotten a lot of great reviews. I just couldn't get into it. On that note I would recommend you picking up a copy and reading it yourself, you'll probably like it, and you might not.

I just don't want this author's book being judged just because I could not get into it. It has great qualities, just not my cup of tea I guess.

Thank you.

Reviews

Sorry I haven't been posting my reviews lately. But I've been so busy I haven't had the time to post them, I will be doing those probably later on this week, so sorry in advance if you get bombarded with them. And I will try to do better at updating my blog on a consistent basis.
