~Synopsis~
Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges...

Leila's psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn't sure what the future holds. If that weren't enough, her lover, Vlad, has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she's also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won't admit that he loves her.

Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity...

Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity.

~My Review~

Lordy lordy! This book was intense, it's starts out with a shock, then intrigue. Then delves into even more shock that will make the fans of Vlad & Leila squeal with excitement. It's amazing from a romantic at hearts point of view to read about these men, knowing that these men don't exist, but the personalities of how they are with their women is phenomenal and these men do exist in real life, though in modern times it seems to be a rare thing. Reading books like twice tempted help me keep my hope alive in finding that kind of love in my future.

The book starts of with Leila and Vlad being in their relationships for a few months now, its dinner time and Vlad has some unexpected guests. Leila of course is curious as to why there are twenty some odd vampires she doesn't know sitting here dining with her. Well much to her surprise Vlad does something that eventually causes them to fight, and she leaves his castle over it. She is then taken back to the circus where Marty is, while being there an explosion occurs that sets Leila on a quest of finding someone who is after her, and finding out her true feelings about the vampire Vlad.

Of course the book ends and i'm craving more of Vlad & Leila.

~My Review~
This has got to be my favorite out of the series by far. Lothaire has always been an intriguing character in my opinion, and to have his back story, WOW. I loved this book through its entirety and so pleased and Ms. Cole has yet to fail me in my opinion of her, and the love I have of her books. If you want to see a different side of Lothaire the Enemy of Old, I suggest you read this book.

*REVIEW: Hexed- Kevin Hearne*

Hexed (Iron Druid Chronicles #2)Hexed
~Kevin Hearne~
Series: Iron Druid Chronicles #2
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Published: (first published June 7th 2011)
Average Rating: 4.20

~Synopsis~
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to “make nice” with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial non-aggression treaty—when suddenly the witch population in modern day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. The new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of WWII.

With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas with their special brand of deadly decadence, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch-hunt. But aided by his magical sword, his neighbor’s rocket-propelled grenade launcher, and his vampire attorney, Atticus is ready to sweep the town and show the witchy women they picked the wrong Druid to hex

~My Review~
I'm really liking this series, it's nice to see an urban fantasy that the lead role is portrayed by a man, cause so often men are just co-leads, or the love interest. the fact that it's based on a druid is awesome as well, since druids are often not the main faith or power in books. all in all the iron druid chronicles is shaping up to be one of my preferred series.

*REVIEW: Hallowed Circle- Linda Robertson*

Hallowed Circle (Persephone Alcmedi, #2)Hallowed Circle
~Linda Robertson~
Series: Persephone Alcamedi #2
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Published: December 29th 2009 by Pocket Books (first published December 14th 2009)
Average Rating: 3.92

~SYNOPSIS~
Persephone Alcmedi has been persuaded to compete for the position of High Priestess of the Cleveland, Ohio, coven — now that the former priestess, Vivian Diamond, has strangely gone missing. Unfortunately, there are a few small problems with the idea. Not only does Seph know rather more about Vivian's disappearance than the other witches realize, but the epic struggle she's just survived has left her with some highly unusual powers — ones that could be dangerous to reveal. Despite her reluctance, she agrees to participate, if only to prevent snooty Hunter Hopewell, an obnoxious but talented witch, from ending up in the winner's circle. Can Seph hide her secrets — including her connection to the master vampire-wizard Menessos — from the terrifyingly wise judges? Plus, there's her rock 'n' roll werewolf boyfriend, Johnny, and some angry fairies to deal with....

Once the competition begins, a finalist turns up dead. It looks as if one of the contestants is willing to do anything — including murder — to win. Suddenly Seph has even more on her plate than she thought: from solving a murder to working out what her new powers really are...and exactly why they're creating so much havoc in her love life.
~My Review~
Intriguing, mesmorizing, and at times you just wanted to smack Persephone upside the head and call her an idiot, but she's coming along, I can't wait to read the next book to see what other trouble persephone can get herself into. Loving this series loving the build up it's producing, and it's different so that's good. All in all a good read, that I would recommend to anyone.

~My Review~
the first book drew me in, the second book....ehhhh it was ok. a good majority of it Dante spent bitching and moaning which make it hard to read. the really best part of the book was literally the very end of it. I will continue to read this series and hope this book was just a dud.

*REVIEW: Ever After - Kim Harrison*

Ever After (The Hollows, #11)Ever After
~Kim Harrison~
Series: The Hollows/ Rachel Morgan #11
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Published: January 22nd 2013 by Harper Voyager
Average Rating: 4.49

~Synopsis~
The ever-after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It's up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans falls apart.

Of course, there's also the small fact that Rachel is the one who caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it. Not to mention the most powerful demon in the ever-after—the soul-eater Ku'Sox Sha-Ku'ru—has vowed to destroy her, and has kidnapped her friend and her goddaughter as leverage. If Rachel doesn't give herself up, they will die.

Forced by circumstance, Rachel teams up with elven tycoon Trent Kalamack—a partnership fraught with dangers of the heart as well as betrayal of the soul—to return to the ever-after and rescue those she loves. One world teeters on the brink of interspecies war, the other on the brink of its very demise—and it's up to Rachel to keep them both from being destroyed.

~My Review~
This was by far the best book out of the series to date. Sure I have loved most of the books in this series once I got past the first couple, but this one tops it all out. This book, you get to know Trent just a little more which is always interesting, because I've always liked and have been interested in him. Then, you see some backgrounds to Demons and Elves. Ugh Ellasbeth is back, and she just makes me wanna "smack a bitch". Ivy well she's basically background music now, which is fine by me, I like Rachel and Jenks much better. And I just wish they would kill Nick I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!!! I can't wait for the next book, I know it's coming close to the end of the series, and I gotta say actually whine: "I don't want it toooooo!"

With their house in peril, Merit and her Master, the centuries old Ethan Sullivan, must race to stop the disappearances. But as they untangle a web of secret alliances and ancient evils, they realize their foe is more familiar, and more powerful, than they could have ever imagined.

~MY REVIEW~
Chloe Neill did it again, she was able to woo me with her books once again. however this one wasn't as exciting as the others, but it was more deep than the others between, the relationship with merit and Ethan, the partnership between merit and Jonah. and the stuff going on the with the house and the GR.

SYNOPSIS
Nick Gautier’s day just keeps getting better and better. Yeah, he survived the zombie attacks, only to wake up and find himself enslaved to a world of shape-shifter's and demons out to claim his soul.

His new principal thinks he’s even more of a hoodlum than the last one, his coach is trying to recruit him to things he can’t even mention and the girl he’s not seeing, but is, has secrets that terrify him.

But more than that, he’s being groomed by the darkest of powers and if he doesn’t learn how to raise the dead by the end of the week, he will become one of them...

MY REVIEW:
I'm so loving this series, Nick was always one of my favorite characters in the Dark Hunters series. SO it would go without reason that I would love him in his own series. But now I'm curious if that the things that are happening to Nick now is going to change the course for Nick in the Dark Hunter series??? Because in the Dark Hunters series he didn't know he was anything but human, and in TCoN he knows he isn't fully human, and that he is someone who will end up ending the world in his future. It's something to ponder on as I work my way through the rest of the series, and the upcoming books in the Dark Hunters series.
