****SYNOPSIS****
When Vampires Go On Vacation . . .

Escaping a horrible marriage, Carolyn Connor has no desire to think about men—a vow she's determined to keep while on vacation in St. Lucia. She'll take the Caribbean sun and sea and plenty of tropical drinks with those cute umbrellas poolside, thank you. She absolutely does not need male company, no matter how tan and rock-hard his body may be.

Easy enough, but then Carolyn meets the charming Marguerite Argeneau, who is infamous among her family for her matchmaking prowess . . .

Christian Notte has well known the power of finding a life mate. He's seen enough of his Argeneau relatives taken down for the count, but he never imagined he'd let himself fall in love—until he meets the enthralling, charmingly skittish, and oh-so-mortal Carolyn. But how will he reveal what he is and still convince this once-bitten mortal to trust him with her heart . . . and her forever?

*****MY REVIEW*****
Ok this book was amazing, I loved that it had the feel that the older books had the last one I didn't like as much as the rest but this one just wowed me. And to have it all set in a Caribbean island just made it all better. Ms. Sands has done it again, and I just love this series.

****SYNOPSIS****
Alexia Tarabotti, Lady Maccon, has settled into domestic bliss. Of course, being Alexia, such bliss involves integrating werewolves into London High society, living in a vampire's second best closet, and coping with a precocious toddler who is prone to turning supernatural willy-nilly. Even Ivy Tunstell's acting troupe's latest play, disastrous to say the least, cannot put a damper on Alexia's enjoyment of her new London lifestyle.

Until, that is, she receives a summons from Alexandria that cannot be ignored. With husband, child, and Tunstells in tow, Alexia boards a steamer to cross the Mediterranean. But Egypt may hold more mysteries than even the indomitable Lady Maccon can handle. What does the vampire Queen of the Alexandria Hive really want from her? Why is the God-Breaker Plague suddenly expanding? And how has Ivy Tunstell suddenly become the most popular actress in all the British Empire?

*****MY REVIEW*****
This was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be better than it was. I kept seeing rave reviews over this but I was all to impressed. Most of this book I found hard to get into, though I did enjoy prudence, and I enjoyed Biffy and Professor Lyall as well. But the storyline just didn't hold much grasp on my attention. I was also getting rather annoyed with Alexias attitude in this book. And the ending was just blah for me.

*****MY REVIEW*****
This was a hard one for me to get through, it just didn't hold my attention like the other's have. It was to me lacking something, it didn't seem to have that zing that the rest of the books have had. Maybe I just like the changelings stories better. I don't know but this was a blah book for me sad to say. Maybe the next one will be much better for me.

The most important tip to dating on social networks is to avoid making the mistake of “liking” you own status.

Because when you "like" your own Facebook status it's like when you're having sex and you slap your own ass.
---
A lot of girls like a guy who is a bad-ass. That’s why my conversations with women go like this:

GIRL: I like a man of danger.

ME: Come back to my place and we'll open the .exe attachments in my email!
---
Dear Shirtless Guy in his Profile Picture, you REALLY want to impress girls? Get a job and pose in front of your cubicle.
---
Dear Guy at the Dance Club, Please stop grinding random girls from behind like you are some kind of creepy penis-shaped bulldozer.
---
They say you can get a girl to like you, if you can make her jealous. So I make sure the girl sees me with a pretty expensive handbag!
---
Girls like when you tell them about the adorable things that children do. For instance, like when my little nephew asked me, "When babies are in the tummy do they use mommy's belly button as a window?"

Cute!

Thank God he didn't ask what they use as a door!

---.

*****MY REVIEW*****
I was given this book in return for an honest review. If you need a pick me up this book is perfect for that. It's a comedy book about dating. And gives some dating advice in a comical way. I couldn't help but to bust out laughing from time to time at some of the things said in this book. This is definitely a coffee table book, you can pick it up and pick any page and go from there, and you'll either be rolling your eyes, agreeing with it, or laughing out loud having people looking at you like you've lost your mind. Either way it's a good read and should be read by many.

BIG NEWS FOR DAEMON BLACK AND LUX FANS

FROM MTV'S HOLLYWOOD CRUSH...

YA Blockbuster 'Obsidian' Is Off To The Movies

Posted 41 mins ago by Kat Rosenfield in Movie News, Movies, Page Turners

If you're wondering where to find the next big thing in supernatural romance, here's a little tidbit of news that ought to pique your interest: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jennifer Armentrout's "Lux" series is off to Hollywood! Sierra Pictures has picked up the option on the majorly best-selling saga. And with five titles anticipated, a film based on the first book, "Obsidian," could kick off the kind of multi-film mayhem that gives the Cullens a run for their money.

As these things go, "Obsidian" starts out sounding like your typical teen romance: a story of the new girl at school and the mysterious, charismatic, cocky boy who steals her heart while simultaneously getting on her very last nerve. But when the boy in question turns out to be some sort of alien hottie at the center of an intergalactic space war, things get very atypical, very fast. Could this be the epic saga that gives that other saga a run for its money? Will the extraterrestrial dude-next-door replace the sparkly vampire as this decade's must-have supernatural boyfriend? DISCUSS.

What do you think about a big-screen adaptation of "Obsidian"?

REVIEW: BLOOD NOIR BY LAURELL K. HAMILTON

Blood Noir (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #16)BLOOD NOIR
BY: Laurell K. Hamilton
SERIES: Anita Blake #16
GENRE: Urban Fantasy
PUBLICATION:  May 27th 2008 by Berkley Hardcover
AVERAGE RATING: 3.80

****SYNOPSIS****
A favor for Jason, vampire hunter Anita Blake's werewolf lover, puts her in the center of a fullblown scandal that threatens master-vampire Jean- Claude's reign, and makes her a pawn in an ancient vampire queen's new rise to power.

*****MY REVIEW*****
I liked this book, I like it when Anita gets of of St. Louis. I liked it that Jason was one of the main characters of this book. I also liked it that while there was still lots of sex in this book, there didn't seem to be as much as the few previous books from when the ardouer(sp) started. I'm wondering what's going on with Richard and the ardouer(sp), is that going to remove some of it from Anita? I'm quite intrigue with all the metaphysical stuff, and i'm quite intrigued on if Anita will ever fully shapeshift, would be interesting to see. I'm still hating Richard, and after the small part he had in this book, it doesn't change my mind about him one bit. I wish Anita would lose some of the men she's boinking, I think that part of the story has gotten way extreme, but that's just my opinion on that... I don't mind a few of the guys, Jean Claude being the main one, and Jason being the next in line the rest, they're just ehhh for me...and I know everyone loves Nathan, I do too, just for some reason not with Anita *Shrugs* no clue why just do. I've never really been big on Micah either... so let me tell you having a book where they were not really a part of just tickled my fancy and made the book more worthwhile to read.

REVIEW: FATAL CIRCLE BY LINDA ROBERTSON

Fatal Circle (Persephone Alcmedi, #3)FATAL CIRCLE
BY: Linda Robertson
SERIES: Persephone Alcmedi #3
GENRE: Urban Fantasy
PUBLICATION: June 29th 2010 by Pocket Books (first published June 18th 2010)
AVERAGE RATING: 3.91

****SYNOPSIS****

Destiny sucks. . . .

There was a time when Persephone Alcmedi thought her life was hard to manage, what with wondering how to make sure she took adequate care of both her grandmother and her foster daughter, Beverley, whether she'd end up in the unwanted position of high priestess of a coven, and whether her werewolf lover, Johnny, would resist the groupies who hang around his band Lycanthropia.

But that was before the fairies started demanding that Seph's frightening, unpredictable ally - the ancient vampire Menessos - be destroyed . . . or the world will suffer. Seph and Menessos are magically bonded, but that's a secret she dares not reveal to her fellow witches lest they be forced to reject her and forbid her use of magic. And, despite the strain this casts on her relationship with Johnny, as a showdown with the fairies nears, she and Menessos badly need the werewolves as allies.

Life, death, and love are all on the line, but when destiny is calling, it doesn't help to turn away. With the individual threads of their fates twisted inextricably together, can Seph, Johnny, and Menessos keep the world safe from fairy vengeance?

*****MY REVIEW*****
Persephone Alcamedi reminds me a little of the Anita Blake books, except Persephone is a witch, and Anita is a vampire hunter, oh and then there is the fact that these books are filled with sex, while there may be some sex, it's not the basis of the books, how this book reminds me of those books, is because you have a pragmatic heroine, a alpha wolf, and a master vampire. They are all tied to each other in ways that are destiny worthy, and really quite predictable. But yet, it's still keeps you intrigue to know more. This series, unleashes a world that brings in the paranormal, mythology, and fantasy all in one, and yet doesn't make it completely confusing, or utterly unbelievable. Great plot, great characters, great writing, and a whole lot more.

*****MY REVIEW*****
Wow, I loved this book just as much as I loved acherons. The pain and suffering the tears shed inside and outside of this story. I didn't think there would be another that would compare to Acherons story, but this was sure came close. I just live the world Sherrilyn Kenyon has created and after so many years and so many dark hunters, she has yet to fail me yet.

*****MY REVIEW*****
I was expected your typical vampire romance with this book, I've seen so many people read it and seemed to have liked it, so I was like alright I will give it a shot. I'm glad I did, it's nothing like I've read before. It's dark, more dark than most of the other vampire books I have read. I like the characters in this book, I like the world building, I like how you don't just dilly dally waiting for things to happen, it's pretty much automatic bing bang boom, the story is alive. I quite enjoyed this book and will definitely continue on with the series. I'm glad I picked up this book, it gives me something that's dark, has a different type of world than others, and the writing is great, and the story keeps you interested from beginning to end, not really any dull moments with this one.

NEVERMIND!!!

OK I had said earlier that I was moving over to Wordpress, well I'm not! lol and here's why.  Blogger may have it's faults because of how Google views things, but Blogger is more user friendly... you can customize it without paying a yearly subscription. I know people love wordpress, and there are something I like about Wordpress, but i'm a person who likes to show their individuality and I cannot afford the yearly fee, for a WordPress Blog... however if Google does ever decide to close my blog down for whatever reason, though I am not violating TOS in any manner, then I do have my WP blog as a back up.

Wordpress Link

Here's my new blog... it's not much as of yet, it will take some time to get things fully back up. But my posts are there and pasts posts.... so Please stop on by and refollow me if you choose especially those who are on GFC. Hope to see yall there soon.

http://bookloverzcozycafe.wordpress.com/

We're Moving!!!!

Ok, I am making the switch from Blogger to Wordpress. While Blogger may be easier to use and more user friendly they have become, a hindrance in their rules, and I keep hearing about  Blogs being shut down for spam cause they post their posts on Google+ and if you have yours set to Mature Audience, you could be in TOS violation for porn... I put my blog as the Mature preference because well, i'm an adult and while I will encourage children to read, and read alot. I don't want to have to censor things I say, or put on my blog that is not appropriate for children. Not because I'm advertising porn.  So therefore, I'm making the switch! I don't want to stay here and e in risk of losing my blog because I posted something on Google+ or because a book cover maybe to risque for Googles tastes.

I will make up another post for the new blog and will keep this one up for a week after I get my Wordpress one completed and running so my followers can switch over.

Thank you to all who follow me here, and I hope I will continue to have you as followers as I make this transition.

Because Cicely and her friends may have escaped from Myst and her Shadow Hunters, but Myst has managed to capture the Fae Prince who holds Cicely's heart.

*****MY REVIEW*****
Night Veil was a key book in the Indigo Court series. It sets you up for what's going to happen in the rest of the series. Alliances and enemies have been made. Families are torn apart while some are reunited. This book is definitely interesting to read, and it has captured my attention. If you are looking for something with a little bit of everything, and different, then the Indigo Court Series is a definite must read.
